Registration FAQ:
How old do campers need to be in order to attend?
In order to attend, a child must be 5 years of age prior to the start of the camp season and must be entering kindergarten or a higher grade.
When can I create a registration account?
Registration accounts can be created by New Families once registration opens to our Returning Families on the first Monday in February. New Families, however, should not attempt to register their children until registration is open to New Families.
Sessions are full. How can I get my child into Melody Pines?
All of our sessions fill up extremely quickly. If a waitlist is available for any session you want, sign your child up for the waitlist! There is no financial deposit required to do so, and you are under no obligation to accept a week if you have already made other arrangements for a week you are offered.Waitlisted Families are able to register one day prior to New Families the following summer. If you can adjust your schedule, take any week that is offered to you from the waitlist, even if it is not your first choice. Returning Families are able to register the following summer on Day 1 of registration.
What do we need to have in order to register?
To complete your child’s registration, you will need a copy of his/her most recent physical, immunization record, and health insurance card. In addition, you will need to make a payment of $50 per week to hold your child’s spot.
Can I register my child for half-days or partial weeks?
No. All registrations are for full days and full weeks, as we have a long list of campers waiting to attend.
Something has come up mid-summer. Why can’t I cancel after May 1st?
All cancellations are due by May 1st. This allows us to provide care for families who were not accepted for this summer. After our deadline, many families find other care, and we simply cannot fill those spaces.
Can my deposit for a week be transferred to another child or another week?
Each deposit is tied to the individual camper and the selected session. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Do you offer financial aid?
Unfortunately, we do not offer financial aid. We are a private day camp and do not receive donations or assistance to offer such programs.
I would like a tour before I register. What should I do?
During the off-season, we remove all of our equipment and docks, so the camp looks very different, but we do our best to accommodate interested families who wish to tour the grounds. If you are unable to tour the camp prior to registration and are unsure whether or not you wish to register, we recommend that you schedule a tour with us for this summer and plan on registering for next summer.
